Affordable Housing

University Housing Services offers a limited number of affordable bed spaces at a reduced rate.  These spaces are offered to eligible students based on completion of the Financial Aid application and Student Aid Index (SAI) each year.

Eligibility is determined based on a student’s SAI score.  There is not a separate application and you do not need to contact Financial Aid or University Housing Services to apply.  As long as a student completes the Free Application for Student Aid (FAFSA), they will be automatically considered.   Eligible students will receive a notification from Financial Aid and be advised of next steps.  Notifications to students will be sent out weekly.  You do not need to contact Financial Aid.

Affordable bedspaces are located in Joe West and Washburn Halls, The Campus Village Apartments, Building B (CVB), Campus Village Suites, Building C (CVC), Campus Village 2 (CV2), The International House (I House) and Spartan Village on the Paseo (SVP).    Double and triple spaces are available in CVC and Washburn Hall.  Double spaces are available in Joe West, CVB and I House.  Triples and Quad spaces are available in SVP.

No single spaces are available at the affordable rate.

Residents of Washburn and Joe West Halls, CV2, CVC, I House and SVP are required to have a meal plan.  Students assigned to an affordable space also have the option to select an affordable meal plan.
