Mondays to Fridays from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Issues that threaten life, property, security or environment are considered urgent requests. Submit all routine requests on WebTMA.

After-Hours Line

For service requests on evenings and weekends, outside of normal business hours, call the UPD dispatch line above. UPD will route the request to the FD&O manager on call to review and respond to the reported issue.

Facility Reservation Requests

The use of any space or building by university and external entities must be approved by FD&O. A new process is in development. Do not fill out any old, saved or bookmarked forms and instead review this page for the latest information.

Access requests for physical keys, doors and locks.

Photography/Filming Requests

Photography and filming requests must follow a procedure that is approved by University Marketing and Communications before FD&O can grant reservation and access to university facilities.

SJSU's unique partnership to lease a former luxury hotel site in downtown will offer up to 700 planned undergraduate student beds, including 124 affordable beds, brand new amenities including on-site dining, a fitness center, expansive study lounges, and a community kitchen.

Tower Lawn Lighting Improvement

Major construction work to replace and enhance lighting on Tower Lawn was completed in the summer of 2025. Fencing is up to protect fresh, new lawns until at least mid to late September 2025. Review the projects page to learn about the project and view the maps for detours.

Spartan Village on the Paseo is Open

Nearly 700 students will call Spartan Village on the Paseo (SVP) home this fall, nine months after the announcement of a unique student housing concept that will position San José State as a national model for urban residential living.

2024 AASHE STARS Gold Ranking
