As recommended by Provost Sigler last fall, we have negotiated the transfer of the Global Studies BA program to the College of Social Sciences (COSS). Deans Hegstrom, Novak, and Cooper worked out a proposal for Provost Sigler that was approved in January for implementation this semester. The BA program will now be listed under COSS. The GLST Faculty Advisory Committee will continue to carry out its usual functions, submitting curricular matters to the COSS curriculum committee and the dean for approval. The Title VI and FIPSE grants managed by us will also transfer to COSS.

Director Mike Conniff will continue to work in IES on special session, research, and outreach activities, but he will hold office hours on campus.
