Requirements:

• Full time Global Studies major

• Minimum GPA of 3.75 in two previous terms at SJSU
  

• At least two courses in Global Studies program with grades of A or A- 

• Letter of nomination/support from a SJSU faculty member

• Completed application form

• 500-word essay on Global studies as a major and career

Global Studies Study Abroad Award

Requirements:

• Full time Global Studies major

• Formal plans for a semester long Global Experience/Study Abroad

• Minimum GPA 3.00 in two previous terms at SJSU
  
• At least two courses in Global Studies program with grades of “B” or better
• Letter of nomination/support from a SJSU faculty member
• Completed application form
• 500-word essay on Global studies as a major and career

Selection Process

A four-member panel, chaired by Senior Fellow Mohan Sood, will evaluate the applications and recommend awards to the Director of the Program. Other members will represent the Faculty Advisory Committee, the Community Advisory Committee, and Global Studies Faculty.

Notification

Award recipients will be notified by a Letter of Award within four weeks of application deadline.
